Masters Collage

2026 ICF World Masters Championships June 24–27

For a limited time, the Banook Canoe Club is offering a prorated, monthly membership to support athletes participating in the 2026 ICF World Masters Championships.

A $50 (+HST) monthly fee includes club membership and paddling fees.

This special membership provides access to:

  • Training from April 1 to June 30
  • Club crew boats
  • Club gym facilities, including ergs, weights and spin bikes.
  • Onsite boat storage, if available, for $40.

The prorated membership can be applied to an annual membership and paddling fees if membership is continued after June 30, 2026.

Masters Paddling Program at Banook Canoe Club

Join our vibrant community of Masters paddlers (25+) at Banook Canoe Club! Whether you're a seasoned paddler or just starting out, our program offers a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.

Registration for 2026 is now open!

Joining the Masters Program requires an active Banook Canoe Club membership. You can register with either a Family Membership or an Individual Membership.

Program Overview

  • Paddle sprint kayaks, canoes (team and individual boats), and C-15
  • Train on the water from May 1 to October 31 (weather and daylight permitting)
  • Indoor training using weights, ergs, and bikes from November 1 to April 30
  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and on Saturday morning at 9:30
  • Opportunities for recreational and competitive paddling
  • Friday evenings Bike and Beverage social event!!

Sprint Masters Recreational and Competitive

  • Designed for Masters athletes (25 yrs+)
  • Coached program offered 4 times per week
  • Includes single boat and crew boat experiences
  • Access to club boats and indoor training facilities
  • Opportunities to participate in regattas (3-4 times per summer) for those wishing to compete.
  • Registration Fee: $200.00

Additional Options

  • Personal boat storage with membership and a sprint program registration for $80.00
  • Personal boat storage available with a membership only for $160.00
